Memorial Day weekend is right around the corner and you know what that means? You need a great martini recipe to relax and unwind!
This recipe came from an incredible restaurant in Laguna Beach. People would come into town from around the country, and make it a point to stop by just for a Key Lime Martini!
The best way to make this martini is with a shaker. If you don’t have one, you can use a plastic wide mouth bottle with a top, or even your plastic protein shake container. Whatever you do, your martini should to be shaken… not stirred!
Most of these ingredients can be found at Beverages and More or even the grocery store.
4 oz Stoli Vanilla Vodka
1 oz Triple Sec (get the smallest bottle you can. You won’t use much of this..except for margaritas)
1oz Pinnapple Juice
1 oz Lime Juice (Rose’s lime juice is great)
1 oz Sweet and sour mix (Finest Call is good)
½ ounce of simple syrup (sugar water) or 1 packet of sugar or whatever sweetener you use
Two lime wedges (squeeze into the shaker)
2 oz Half & Half
Fill shaker with ice, add Stoli Vanilla, you don’t have to be exact on measurements, just as close as you can. Add Triple Sec, Pineapple juice, lime juice, sweet and sour, and simple syrup (or sugar)
Squeeze two lime wedges into the shaker
Add Half & Half
Shake it up for two minutes and strain into martini glass. If you don’t have a strainer, just take three fingers and put them across the rim of the shaker and strain preventing ice from escaping.
Garnish glass with a lime wheel. To make a lime wheel, slice a lime crossways in 1/8 inch slices. Lay the wheel flat and cut one slit from center to edge so it fit on the glass.
Take a sip, enjoy the holiday weekend, and if someone asks you where you learned how to make this martini, tell them
